Beyond price, the chart can surface the events and sessions that shape it: news, corporate actions, and trading-hours shading. These overlays draw markers and backgrounds directly on the chart.

Event markers

For symbols whose provider supplies it (primarily equities through Massive), the chart places markers you can open for detail:

  • News — a newspaper marker that opens recent headlines, each with a publish time, publisher, and a sentiment tag (positive, neutral, or negative) plus a link to the article.
  • Earnings — earnings-report markers showing the report date and details such as EPS and revenue (actual vs. estimate) when available.
  • Dividends — markers for ex-dividend dates and cash amounts.
  • Splits — markers for stock-split execution dates and ratios.

Click a marker to open its popover; the marker shows a count when several items cluster together. Crypto symbols (Binance) generally do not carry these corporate-action feeds.

Which event types appear is controlled under the Events tab in Chart Settings.

Session and trading-hours shading

Trading sessions can be shaded behind price so you can tell regular and extended hours apart at a glance. This shading comes from session-aware studies (for example a trading-hours indicator that paints a session background). Add them from the Built-in Indicator Library. Whether the chart treats hours as regular or extended is a Symbol setting — see Chart Settings.
