2. Keyboard Shortcuts

These shortcuts speed up common actions. Most apply to the active pane (the one with the amber border). On macOS the primary modifier is ⌘; on Windows/Linux it is Ctrl — shown below as Ctrl/⌘.

Show or hide the right sidebar — whatever it holds (watchlist, alerts, docked AI chat)	`Ctrl`/`⌘` + `J`
Show or hide the bottom panel — whatever it holds (strategy tester, paper account, Pine editor)	`Ctrl`/`⌘` + `Shift` + `U`
Open the Go-to-time dialog	`Ctrl`/`⌘` + `G` (or `Alt`+`G`)
Move the chart one bar left / right	`←` / `→`
Move the chart several bars left / right	`Ctrl`/`⌘` + `←` / `→`
Reset the active pane view	`Alt` + `R`
Invert the active pane price scale	`Alt` + `I`
Download a snapshot of the active pane	`Alt` + `S`

Ctrl/⌘ + J closes the sidebar even while you are typing in it (the AI chat or the watchlist search); pressed again with nothing open, it brings back the content that was there last — the watchlist until you have opened something else.

Arrow keys pan the chart when no drawing is selected. When a drawing is selected, the arrow keys nudge that drawing instead.

Panes

Paper trading

Action	Shortcut
Show or hide the Buy/Sell trading panel	`Alt` + `P`
Buy at market on the active pane (trading panel visible)	`Shift` + `B`
Sell at market on the active pane (trading panel visible)	`Shift` + `S`

Shift + B / Shift + S follow one-click trading (the ⚡ toggle on the trading panel, off by default): with it off they open the order ticket pre-filled; with it on they place the market order immediately. While the panel is visible these keys never open the symbol search; with the panel hidden they are inert as trade shortcuts and B / S type into the symbol search as usual. All three paper-trading shortcuts are ignored while the ticker overview dialog is open or focus is in a text field, and Shift + B / Shift + S are also inert while you are choosing a replay start bar. Commit inline chart text	`Enter`

Selected drawings can also be edited directly with the mouse: drag the drawing body to move it, or drag an anchor handle to reshape it. Magnet snapping applies to anchor-handle edits when magnet is enabled.
