3. Workspace Preferences

Beyond explicit saved layouts, the workspace quietly remembers your current setup so it returns the way you left it. These preferences are stored per browser.
What is remembered
- Per-pane timeframes — each of the panes keeps the timeframe you last set it to.
- Per-pane indicators — the studies on each pane are restored on reload.
- Side panel width — the width of the side slot (panels/watchlist) is remembered, within a sensible min/max range (defaulting to a comfortable width).
- Indicator favorites and recents — your starred and recently used studies, used by the indicator picker.
- Theme and palette — see Themes & Palettes.
- Data provider settings — provider, mode, key, and feed; see Configuring Providers & API Keys.
How it persists
Preferences are written to your browser's local storage as you change them, so they survive a reload or a return visit on the same browser and device. They are not synced to a server or shared across devices.
Resetting
Clearing the site's browser storage resets preferences (along with watchlists, strategy drafts, AI keys, and conversation history) back to defaults. Individual indicators can be reset to their shipped defaults from their settings — see Configuring Indicator Settings.
Related local data
Several features store their own data locally, all per browser and not synced:
| Data | Covered in |
|---|---|
| Watchlists | Watchlists Overview |
| Strategy drafts | Saving & Managing Drafts |
| AI keys & conversations | Setting Up an AI Provider |
| Saved layouts | Saved Workspace Layouts |
